iGuzzini President named Entrepreneur of the Year in the “Globalization” category of the EY Awards 2017
9th November - During the award ceremony held at Palazzo Mezzanotte, headquarters of the Italian Stock Exchange in Milan, Adolfo Guzzini, iGuzzini’s President, picked up the Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 Award in the “Globalization” category of the EY Awards.
The jury, chaired by Gianni Mion, Fila and Space3 President, awarded the globalisation category prize to Adolfo Guzzini, acknowledging the entrepreneur’s commitment to innovation and business excellence. The award is also an endorsement of Adolfo Guzzini’s commitment to enhancing social wellbeing through growth and development, a direct outcome of spreading the importance of light culture at international level.
“This acknowledgement proves our strong contribution to promoting the “Made in Italy” hallmark worldwide by manufacturing innovative lighting systems that encompass attractive designs, scientific research and new technologies,” said Adolfo Guzzini. “We collaborate with the best architects, lighting designers, universities and research centres around the world in order to pursue growth and evolution and enhance wellbeing for people, society and the environment, through light” concluded Adolfo Guzzini.
The Entrepreneur of the Year Award, established in the USA in 1986 and subsequently promoted in 150 cities in 65 different countries, aims to celebrate the entrepreneurs that have successfully created and sustained their companies’ growth, while also contributing to the local economy through initiative, creativity and dedication.
