FVB introduces a new quality seal for the lighting industry
With the introduction of a new quality seal, the Association of the Lighting Industry (FVB) secures the high standards of the Swiss lighting industry and provides orientation in the ever-growing lighting market. Manufacturers and distributors of luminaires and technical components get the opportunity to differentiate and clearly position themselves within the industry by means of a meaningful quality promise. Compared to planners and architects, they are also a professional and reliable partner.
Clearly defined award criteria: safety, professionalism, service and sustainability
The basis for the award is a catalogue with clearly formulated criteria from the areas of security, professionalism, service and sustainability. Strengthening the Swiss lighting industry is of principal importance, so a location in Switzerland is essential to preserve the seal. For example, a company must have been registered in the commercial register for at least five years and achieve 75 per cent of its turnover by trading or manufacturing luminaires or components of professional lighting systems. Criteria with regard to consulting and service also ensure that only qualified companies are allowed to use the quality seal. The topic of sustainability includes the taking back and disposal of electrical and lighting components. The FVB acts as the supervisory body of these and other quality features.
