Another donation for the earthquake from iGuzzini employees

Adolfo Guzzini, RSU e il Sindaco di Visso

And the company doubled the contribution

In a landscape that is still devastated from the earthquake that hit the Marche region last summer, iGuzzini's chairman Adolfo Guzzini, the HR manager Angelo Camilletti and a delegation of the company’s Trade Union (RSU) donated on the 19th of June 2017, a contribution of €30.000 to three small villages in the province of Macerata (Visso, Castelsantangelo sul Nera and Ussita). This follows a recent donation of €100.000 from iGuzzini to the municipality of Visso.

This concrete gesture was born form an agreement with the Trade Unions that allowed the company to raise €15.000 by the employees: they had the opportunity to donate between one and two hours of work. The amount collected was then doubled by iGuzzini, reaching a total of €30.000, equally divided between the three municipalities.

The three cheques were delivered in Visso to the Mayor Giuliano Pazzaglini and to the other municipalities’ delegation. A solidarity gesture that aims at raising awareness about a situation that is likely to lose visibility day by day. The iGuzzini support plan for the earthquake victims of Macerata began last November with a donation of €100.000 to the municipality of Visso. Several initiatives under the slogan Light will be back in the Marche region were adopted in order to promote tourism and the agri-food sector: the purchase of Christmas boxes made with local products; the collaboration on the design of a thousand personalized copies of a calendar showcasing the local Sibillini Mountains; the promotion of local products through an online platform on the international iGuzzini website; and a lighting plan to bring life back to the places which represent the cultural heritage of an entire region.
