“Shift happens!” in Paris for the PLD-Week
After its spectacular 5th edition held in Rome in 2015, PLDC moves on to the Ville Lumière for its 2017 edition having “Shift Happens!” as main theme. Held between 1 - 4 November, the international lighting convention will feature many keynote speakers and more than 70 professional papers presented by high-profile speakers from the world of lighting design, architecture, research and city planning. iGuzzini, as Social Media Partner, will inaugurate the convention taking part to the opening press conference of 1st November. During the conference, Andrea Sasso, the Group’s CEO, will outline how iGuzzini incorporate the convention’s main theme in everyday situations, ranging from advanced technological solutions to Industry 4.0 processes. The Group will be present at the Palais des Congrès with a 30-square meter Light Experience where visitors can experience light in all its beauty and enjoy iGuzzini’s latest product innovations - The Blade and Palco Low Voltage.

A sequence of Twitter interviews, also known as #iGtalks, have been promoting some of the PLDC speakers’ views on lighting and the convention on the Group’s main Twitter account @iGuzzini. The engaging online debates coupled with the three open events held at the iGuzzini showroom in Paris act as a preview of some of themes that speakers are going to tackle during the conference. Experiencing Light, Designing Social Light and Honouring Creativity are the three open events aimed at reinterpreting the ‘Shift happens!’ motto in terms of technological innovation, social research and artistic creativity, respectively.  The events will take place at Rue Boulevard de la Bastille, on 30th October, 31st October and 2nd November. The award celebration of PLDR, where iGuzzini has been shortlisted in the category Best Partner in The Industry for the support given at Configuring Light/Staging the Social, will conclude the convention.

Don’t miss the PLD-Week events held at Palais des Congrès and at the iGuzzini showroom in Paris between 30th October and 4th November.
