Pop lights for the Fiat 500

To celebrate fifty years of the Fiat 500 and publicise the idea that living is an activity which no longer involves just the home, Fratelli Guzzini and Macef have devised the "Italian Pop" project.

The project is defined by 3 events:

- Italian Pop Living, between the 19th and the 22nd January
Six leading figures from the worlds of sport, culture and design describe their perceptions of the 500.

. Giovanna Talocci
. Sebastian Conran
. Elio Fiorucci
. Vincenzo Cerami

The six personalities offer an individual - almost intimate - interpretation of this car, leading to it being perceived as an actual space to be inhabited.

iGuzzini products are used to light the six interpretations: Light Up fixtures and AM/AS floor-standing lamps are used. The latter products were chosen for the 1950s feel of their design, a further contribution to the “pop” atmosphere of the entire event.


- Italian Pop, opening on the 19th January at 12.00
Introduction to the Fiat-Fratelli Guzzini design workshop.

- Italian Workshop, project co-ordinated by Aldo Colonetti and Giorgio Di Tullio
International design workshop aimed at creating items which are in line with the mood of the Fiat 500, run by Fratelli Guzzini in order to celebrate the legendary car.
