Dunhill were keen to provide the optimum retail environment for clients visiting their brand new Jermyn Street Showroom.
Being forward thinking, they realised how important the correct lighting solution was to the overall success of the space. This was of particular importance in the bespoke tailoring room which, due to site constraints, did not have access to natural daylight.
Wishing to ensure the adoption of latest technology where appropriate, they were keen to overcome the problems of colour rendering on their clothing normally associated with artificial light. It is entirely possible that what appears to be a dark blue suit under artificial light resolves itself to be black or dark green once viewed in natural light.

The solution was found in the form of iGuzzini’ s Sivra Lighting System. Using the latest generation of this product, the sales associates are able to simulate artificial daylight from as far afield as Tokyo and Los Angeles as well as closer to home in London and Northern Europe. A simple control panel allows one to create infinite lighting conditions. The interesting aspect of the scheme is that it is designed to simulate natural daylight entering the space as it changes the colour and levels of light to mimic a bright summers day to an overcast winters day.

This is a unique solution, and Dunhill is the only retailer in the UK able to offer their clients the facility of judging their clothing in all light conditions, be it early morning February, midday for a June wedding or dusk for a September reception, anything is possible with the iGuzzini Sivra Skylight.
