Light and Building 2008 | Responsible light

For over 30 years, iGuzzini has been committed to energy saving. This ethos resulted not only in the production of quality appliances, but also in a conscious effort to promote a new and novel culture of light.

New technologies are available today that allow us to implement new lighting regimes that are both sustainable and pleasing.

All iGuzzini appliances adopt specific technological solutions to reduce consumption and increase performance, such as electronics in fluorescent lighting, sensors detecting the amount of natural light to modulate the artificial lighting output, as well as management systems for turning the lights on and off, control operating cycles, and monitor the conditions of the system to notify maintenance requirements.

This constant attention to reducing energy consumption drove us to use new, highly efficient light sources, such as LEDs, the light of the future.

The commitment of iGuzzini towards the adoption of this technology is expressed not only in our new products – such as the MiniRoll65 and the MicroiRoll65 for instance – but also in many of the existing ones, that have been redesigned and modified to replace older and obsolete lighting sources with a new LED solution.

This brief review of some of our new products for 2008 must end with colour: Pure colour, intense and theatrical. Like the colour of our flush-mounted Express or the suspended iSign RGB luminaire, also perfect in white.
