RIBA President's Medals 2008

The RIBA has been awarding the President's Silver Medal since the 1850s. The President's Medals, in their current form, were established in 1984 and are regarded as an international benchmark for excellence in education. The aim of these prestigious awards is to promote excellence in the study of architecture, to reward talent and to encourage architectural debate world-wide. Students from RIBA recognised schools in the UK and overseas aspire each year to be selected by their school to enter for the medals, and for the opportunity for their work to be recognised and publicly exhibited.

iGuzzini has been sponsoring the RIBA President's Medals since 2004, awarding the iGuzzini Travel Award. Judging panels organised by iGuzzini to assess nominations to the RIBA President's Medals have included Mark Majors, Jonathan Spiers and Doriana Fuksas.

The winners will receive their awards in a prestigious ceremony held at the RIBA on the 3rd December 2008
