Partners for Better Light

The architect, the lighting designer, the planner and the customer are at the center of the new iGuzzini advertising campaign.
The campaing has been launched in dailies and specialised magazines of the main European countries.

It is a hymn to the collaboration between iGuzzini and its lighting project partners.

Memory and Light
Padua, Italy

In 2004 Daniel Libeskind presented his proposal for a World Trade Center Memorial in Padua, “Memoria e Luce” to the Veneto Region.
The memorial was created in the area around the Porte Contarine; this area was partially transformed by the project.

Daniel Libeskind’s work centres around a steel beam which was recovered from the World Trade Center in New York and then set inside a structure which is intended to be reminiscent of the Book of History. This is a living structure which changes as a result of the coloured and variable light symbolising the light of Liberty, interacting with the symbolic elements representing the Statue of Liberty (the emblem of New York), the book itself and the torch.
