Light exhibition design 2009

An open-air stage.

That is what Milan will look like from 6th December to 10th January 2010 when, with the last Light Exhibition Design 2009 (LED) event, the lighting schemes designed for the city by some of the most prestigious architects, lighting designers and artists of our time are switched on.

iGuzzini participates as a partner in the event - organised by the Milan municipality - with the “a tower of light“ scheme for the Branca Tower.

The Branca Tower, an architectural and technical masterpiece designed by Giò Ponti for Milan in the 1930s, still rises in Parco Sempione, the city’s green heart, with imposing lightness.

The 108 metres of steel tubes and bolts are illuminated by LED Platea projectors which turn the Tower into a colour-changing lantern, the symbol of a Milan that was opening up to art, technology and design - and is still able to dream with renewed energy.
