Architecture and Design in Middle East

Dubai, 5 December 2017- iGuzzini encourages knowledge transfer and supports a culture of quality design during the designMENA Summit 2017 held in Grosvenor House in Dubai.

The 5th edition of the Summit, organized by the magazines Commercial Interior Design and Middle East Architect on the 5th December, was a significant occasion to bring together the cream of the region’s design and architectural community with an attendance of more than 180 senior architects and commercial interior designers from the most influential firms. Among them, Minsuk Cho, Founder of Mass Studies, Hani Asfour, Associate Dean of the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI) and Lulie Fisher, Design Director and Founder of Lulie Fisher Design and Studio.

Thought-provoking subjects, undoubtedly crucial topics in the region, have been addressed through panel discussions, cases studies and lectures, for a jam-packed day entirely dedicated to design and architecture to explore their impact on the cultural and social fabric of the urban community.

Since the opening of the Middle East’s Branch in Dubai in 2008, iGuzzini has extended with an office in Qatar, Saudia Arabia, Lebanon and a Light Experience in Bahrain to best support projects in the region and contribute to spreading a culture of quality light for people. A selection of the major projects in the region include: the Rolex Tower and The Etihad Museum in Dubai, the Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, the Royal Opera House in Muscat, the State Mosque in Doha and The Latest Recipe Restaurant ad Abu Dhabi.
