The Australian city of Claremont recently engaged the AECOM architectural studio to head its Bay View Terrace Revitalisation Project. The commission covered a wide variety of aspects, including the design and organisation of civil spaces, landscape solutions, architecture, lighting and electrical services.
The project encompassed the formation of a shared road/pedestrian-friendly street with tree planting, al fresco dining and places to accommodate different events and social activities.
With regard to roadway lighting, the main features offered by the new system are programmable interactive lighting and misting elements that create interest and engage visitors to connect with the place and leave with a positive and memorable experience. The main product used is the iGuzzini Argo
On Friday 17th October iGuzzini and its partner Mondoluce participated as a Platinum sponsor in the Western Australia Lighting Designer Awards, organised in association with "the Illumination Engineering Society". And the Bay View Terrace Revitalization Project won one of the three Lighting Designer Awards of Excellence awarded.
