Songyuan House

We are honoured to have been invited by lawyer Chen to participate in the renovation of a two-hundred-year-old ancient house. In the lighting design project, we respected the Chinese charm by combining it with Western lighting technology, achieving a harmonious fusion between East and West. In the courtyard on the first floor, the ripples of the pool, the refined brick walls, and the silhouettes of the trees are delicately highlighted by the lighting, reminiscent of a classic ink painting, serene and profound. On the second floor, the lines of light created by the Tricks not only emphasise the beauty of the ancient structure of the house but also bring a touch of Western minimalism. This project is a fusion of technology and art and, above all, a dialogue between Chinese and Western culture. The house of the ancestors becomes an experiential space in which cultural intersections are celebrated.
