Light+Building 2018 starts with two awards for iGuzzini: The Blade and Walky won the Design Plus L+B Award, a competition promoted by the German Design Council. Adolfo Guzzini, president of iGuzzini, and Andrea Sasso, the company’s CEO, picked up the award yesterday, 18th March.
The judging panel – Barbara Friedrich, Design Consulting & Publishing; Volker Hohmann, Founder and Managing Director, Ikarus Design Handel GmbH; Prof. Michael Lanz, Managing Partner, design affairs Group; Sabine Loeser-Schoeps, Managing Director, LS Architecture & Interiors – described The Blade and Walky as "products characterised by future applicability, innovative design and high energy efficiency ".
The two Design Plus award winners will be part of the photography exhibition to be showcased at the Light + Building trade fair, on the Design Plus stand A51, located in Hall 1.2, between 18th - 23rd March.
Walky, the family of novelty products characterized by excellent horizontal light distribution, is one of the products displayed on the iGuzzini stand E31, Hall 3.1, at Light+Building. The Blade is also showcased on the stand in a miniaturisation-themed room, called The Blade room. The space features the entire XS family, showing the expansion of the product range, including the Laser Blade XS LV on 48V intelligent track and Laser Blade XS suspended, winner of the Design Plus Award at L+B 2018.
