by GEA and HBR Italy – a double accolade for iGuzzini’s business model
Milan Stock Exchange headquarters hosted the “Eccellenze d’Impresa” award ceremony on 17th October. A prize promoted by the GEA consultancy agency and the Italian edition of the Harvard Business Review for international management. Following the “Technology and employment - rule the shift, do not be hit by it” round-table, iGuzzini’s President, Adolfo Guzzini, picked up the overall “Eccellenze d’impresa 2017” award as well as the Internationalisation Award.
Marco Fortis, Edison Foundation Director; Gabriele Galateri, Assicurazioni Generali President; Patrizia Grieco, Enel President; Raffaele Jerusalmi, Italian Stock Exchange CEO; Cristina Scocchia, Kiko CEO and Luisa Todini, Todini Costruzioni Generali President were all members of the jury that acknowledged iGuzzini’s excellent performance on the international stage and the high level of innovation achieved through continuous R&D activities, endorsing the Group’s ability to achieve synergic coordination between its branches at international level.
In line with its regular structure, the “Eccellenze d’Impresa” award had four categories - Growth and Sustainability, Innovation and Technology, Internationalisation and Start-up - each of these had a designated Winner and two Special Mentions. Thanks to its integrated global network made up of 22 branches in all five continents, 78 international partners, 19 associate partners and three production centres (Recanati, Shanghai and Toronto), iGuzzini was named winner of the internationalisation category and winner of the overall “Eccellenze d’impresa” award, having competed against 120 other candidates.
“This Award goes to a company that has maximised the Italian approach to innovation as key element in their international expansion, exporting a winning business model, their know-how and high level of expertise worldwide”, stated Enrico Sassoon, Director of HBR Italy.

The purpose of this award is to reaffirm Italian know-how, talent and managerial skills whose model should be embraced by the whole country”, concluded Luigi Consiglio, GEA President.
