iGuzzini is delighted to announce its partnership with Isola Design - the world’s first digital and physical platform that connects independent designers with industry professionals and potential clients - with the activation of the exhibition Nothing Happens if Nothing Happens for the Dubai Design Week.
Designed by the Eindhoven-based Design Studio Tellurico,
Nothing Happens if Nothing Happens will feature circular products and collectible design pieces.
A rich program of Design Talks, iGuzzini Meets, has been developed in collaborations with a range of prestigious educational institutions such as the American University in Dubai and the Istituto Marangoni as well as innovative organisations (3DD, Arper, The Good Plastic Company, B&T, Compasses just to name a few) with the aim of engaging the design community over the entire Design Week.
Nothing Happens if Nothing Happens will also feature an installation of
Libera, whilst other areas will be illuminated and further enhanced by the iconic
Le Perroquet and
Whisper, the portable lamp developed around eco-design principles.
Among the many activities, a workshop on Lines and Surfaces suitable for beginners and experts and the presentation of
Light for Future, a Design Challenge carried out in collaboration with AUD for Interior design students, aimed at encouraging creativity as a key factor in urban development and regeneration using light as a tool for Social Innovation and Awareness.
A Panel dedicated to the dynamic between
Design and Innovation is also one of the highlights of the engaging line-up, with the participation, among others esteemed panelists, of Elena Marinoni, Director of Education - Istituto Marangoni Dubai, Dr. Georges Kachaamy - Director of the Centre for Research, Innovation and Design, AUD and with Annamaria Lambri, Chair of the Department of the Interior Design as moderator.
An
Isola PechaKucha night will also be hosted by iGuzzini (9th November) with the theme of “Free your mind” as a call for the designers community to unleash their creativity, share and emphasize the social impact of out of the box ideas and powerful, inspiring storytelling.
The iGuzzini fittings will be also illuminating for Isola Design the collective exhibition Anatolia inspired by the great crossroads of ancient civilization and part of the Downtown Design.
