Paris Nord Villepinte (RER B : Parc des Expositions)
HALL 6 - Stand no. P60

From 10:30 a.m. on September 7 to 10:30 a.m. on September 11, 2018

Since 2013, the French-Japanese light design duo Akari-Lisa and Motoko Ishii has been invited by the organizers of the MAISON&OBJET Paris trade fair to create an official installation on light.

To raise awareness of lighting trends, they are presenting a meticulous selection of lighting materials (existing or prototypes, light sources, illuminated materials, artistic applications, management technologies, etc.). Their exhibit will include everything you need to know and apply.
This 6th installation introduces today’s lighting designs, a subtle combination of technology and artistic expression.

2018 theme: LOG OUT!
In our modern-day world, where technological innovations provide us with numerous and marvelous possibilities, being hyper-connected now seems to be second nature (internet, social networks, digital voice assistants, IoT, etc.). While we can’t deny the benefits of being connected, it’s time to think about how to disconnect. Across the entire world, numerous trends are questioning being permanently LOGGED IN - we are constantly contributing or exchanging information, sometimes non-stop. For some, LOGGING OUT is actually a luxury.

In the field of lighting, numerous connected and intelligent technologies have been developed that offer incredible possibilities that need to be highlighted and used. But there is also a need for calming light, for lighting design that expresses the need to LOG OUT.
Being LOGGED IN might reflect current trends, but being LOGGED OUT might be tomorrow’s trend

iGuzzini will be participating in two of the Light Trend rooms:

Room 2: Illuminated teleportation
Visitors will be absorbed into a fantastic tunnel of colored light that will transport them into a different dimension. LED color change technology fully transforms the surroundings thanks to different lighting scenarios. This exhibit is a special creation, inspired by luminotherapy methods in combination with recent scientific studies on the circadian rhythm and the impact of light on mood and physical health. Light provides brightness and has decorative elements, but it also undeniably contributes to our sense of well-being.

The iGuzzini strip creates a color effect, a magnificent play of shadows on the back wall; the Underscore RGB provides for dynamic and immersive color changes.

Room 3: path of light
In a second part of the tunnel, the effect of interactive light creates an element of surprise. On the walls, splashes of light coming from one of the smallest profile spotlights in the world, the Palco Low Voltage, will decorate the room with futuristic designs. These projectors are able to produce geometric beams due to their innovative optic systems.

iGuzzini will be exhibiting its know-how in miniaturization: we may have made our devices smaller, but they’re still big on performance. The Palco framer projects geometric shapes: circles (Palco Low Voltage Ø19mm) and moons (Palco Low Voltage Ø37mm).

To finish the iGuzzini journey, the innovative Trick radial application will provide you with a peaceful and balanced finish, in all its nuances.

Our lighting experts will be there every day to welcome you and will provide you with a customized presentation to suit your needs.
