November the 7th at 5 pm, the architect Cino Zucchi will be hosted by the Utzon Center in Aalborg (Denmark) for the first appointment of the conference cycle launched by iGuzzini in collaboration with the Utzon Center and the MAXXI National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome.

With the ironic “campsite shower” metaphor, Zucchi seeks to highlight the gap between need and response and the ability of buildings and cities to adjust over time in order to fulfil roles and functions they were not originally designed for.

One of the most prestigious Italian designers in the sphere of architecture and urban design, Cino Zucchi was born in Milan in 1955 and has degrees from both the M.I.T. and the Milan Polytechnic where he now teaches. Author of numerous articles and books on architectural theory and history, he curated the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennial in 2014 and has been a visiting professor at the Harvard GSD. Together with his CZA studio he has designed and constructed numerous acclaimed and prize-winning buildings, public spaces and urban developments.
