The retail space is located on the first floor of the prestigious Lagoona Mall in Doha and occupies a unit of approximately 1000 square meters with three exposed long stretches of shop windows. The various design elements, colors and patterns represent a modern approach to the Islamic culture, leaving adequate space for Western influenced fashion.
To set a unique mood, Dobas chose to collaborate with the well-known Swiss textile designer Claudia Caviezel, who created a themed collection of art - located behind the reception desk - that reflects a joyful and elegant idea of nature.
Throughout the boutique there are other decorative elements that play with light and shadow, with reflections and semi-transparent surfaces. In the center of the boutique an ensemble of different sized pendant lamps sets a further focal point, whose appeal can been perceived from distance as an oversized sparkling chandelier.
The choice of materials was crucial in creating an elegant, classy and cozy atmosphere. The interior design was designed as a dynamic stage without interfering with the fashionable and colorful collection of products. To enhance the contrast Dobas team opted for mellow, earth tone colors, except for the piece of art that embraces the full scheme of colors. Furthermore, a balance of hard and soft materials was chosen to elevate the experience and the acoustic perception, accommodating a high number of visitors in a pleasant environment both for sale and event activities. The concept of lighting of the space is based on an integration between some decorative elements and the homogeneous and diffused lighting offered by recessed Reflex CoB, fixed and adjustable, with a mix of optics ranging from medium to wide flood, all linked by the color temperature of 3000 K and by CRI 90. The differentiation of the optics and of the power of the luminaires also allows to create more lighting levels and therefore the realization of lively or intimate atmospheres, which are articulated inside the boutique inviting customers to walk nicely.
