Exhibitor at the Museums and Relevant Products and Technologies Exposition (MPT-EXPO) 2016

The 2016 Museums and Relevant Products and Technologies Exposition (MPT-EXPO) was held in Chengdu between 14 - 19 September 2016. The themes of the event - museum new era · creative development · science and technology in the future - were conveyed through exhibitions, theatrical performances, creative activities, trade promotions and other activities and attracted local and foreign cultural and creative high-end technology and products, building an important platform for the creative industries in terms of information exchange, products trade and project cooperation.
 
MPT-EXPO is the only international comprehensive exhibition in the museum and museum-related industry in China. Guided by the State Administration of Culture Heritage, MPT-EXPO was established in 2004 by the Chinese Museums Association and the China Association of Natural Science Museums and other organizations. A total of over 600 museums, and more than 1200 suppliers of products and technologies have had the opportunity to participate to the fair to date. In addition, approximately 800 experts from all over the world engaged in forum discussions during the expo.

iGuzzini has had quite a few collaborations with the Chinese museum industry, having been inolved in the illumination of major museums such as the National Museum of China in Beijing, the Shanghai Natural History Museum, the Jiangsu Nanjing Museum and more recently, the Long Museum West Bund in Shanghai, to mention just a few. We wanted to reinforce our interest in the Chinese museum market, by exhibiting at MPT-EXPO for the first time this year. It was a great opportunity to make new contacts and get our innovative products better known on the Chinese market, particularly now that China is experiencing a serious museum boom.
