From May 22nd 2024 to January 12th 2025
iGuzzini is Technical Partner for the lighting of the large retrospective organized by the Triennale of Milan dedicated to Gae Aulenti, one of the most representative figures of contemporary architecture and design, with whom the company collaborated for the realization of Cestello together with Piero Castiglioni.
The exhibition, realised in collaboration with the Gae Aulenti Archive under the curatorship of Giovanni Agosti, Nina Artioli and Nina Bassoli, presents Gae Aulenti's story in analytical and spectacular forms, to narrate a personal way of seeing, imagining and designing reality that marked Italian and foreign contexts of the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition consists of 1:1 scale environments, thanks to the original materials preserved in the architect's Milanese archive, including drawings, photographs and maquettes.
Cestello projectors are an integral part of the exhibition and can be found in the reproductions of Palazzo Grassi, Perugia Airport and Spazio Oberdan.
As a Technical partner, we supplied the luminaires to light the entire exhibition. iSign installed on the ceiling for the ‘Corsa al Mare’ section; Reflex recessed fittings for the Olivetti Showroom in Buenos Aires in 1968; underscore 15 for the backlighting of the Christo ceiling at the Rotonda della Besana in 1973; Palco for the Mueso d'Orsay installation (using the Palco projectors already existing in the Triennale spaces); Frame recessed fittings from 4 square rooms for the Spazio Oberdan.
