Le Perroquet by iGuzzini selected for The Italian Genius exhibition at the MISE headquarters

From February 14th to March 13th, following its debut at the Italian Pavilion in the Expo Dubai, the Ministry of Economic Development will host The Italian Genius exhibition at its headquarters in via Veneto in Rome, at Palazzo Piacentini.

The Italian Genius” affirms Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, “is a manifesto of our industrial design that we want to bring to the attention of those who want to stop and admire the creative works of Italian genius".
The Italian Genius collects a selection of iconic objects of Italian design and is a tribute to the creativity of Italian companies. The exhibition consists of over 60 pieces, examples of creativity, functionality, and quality of the Italian industry.

"The center of all the products presented in the exhibition certainly remains man, with his needs and his dreams" commented ADI president Luciano Galimberti.

iGuzzini is present in the exhibition with a fundamental design icon in the history of the company from Recanati: Le Perroquet, a pendant luminaire designed by Renzo Piano for the renovation of the Beaubourg in Paris in 2000.

The exhibition, created on the initiative of the Directorate General for the Protection of Industrial Property, was curated by Carlo Martino (La Sapienza University of Rome) and Francesco Zurlo (Polytechnic University of Milan), the project was directed by Luciano Galimberti and the Director of ADI Design Museum Andrea Cancellato, the visual identity from the SM5 studio which, with Ivo Caruso, also take care of the set up.
