Eiffel Palace

About Project

One of the symbols of the Hungarian capital the prestigious Eiffel Palace, built in the XIX century by the celebrated architect Gustave Eiffel, has officially reopened after years of renovation thanks to the work of Horizon Development and DVM Group
Originally built in 1893 it has been partially destroyed and rebuilt over the years. The latest renovation has faithfully followed the original architectonic project. Today the building boasts a large multi-storey car part and seven floors, five of which for offices.
The Eiffel Palace, currently the only building in Central-Eastern Europe to obtain the double environmental certification  LEED Gold and BREEAM Very Good, is an outstanding example of sustainable architecture and energy efficiency. iGuzzini played an active role in this achievement by supplying the Led fittings used to light the communal areas of the building. For the general lighting we used Palco projectors on parallel tracks fitted along the frames of the large skylight. The lighting level of the hall is equal to 350 Lux, with neutral white colour temperature. The H-shaped section of the V-shaped pillars on the ground floor has been highlighted with the lighting effect created by the iPro projectors, with a white finish. They were installed on the base of the column opening and fitted with anti-glare screens to ensure maximum visual comfort.
The green wall behind the pillars has been set off with the Front Light projectors, whilst the Laser Blade fittings light the corridor behind the pillars.
The warm white Laser Blade fittings have been used in the corridors of all the floors. They are invisible and integrate perfectly with the architecture, creating a uniform lighting effect. The beautiful monumental staircase has been renovated with the original cast iron and wrought iron features. Each landing is lit with wall mounted neutral white iPlans with microprism screens. The pillars on the four floors next to the parapet have been emphasized in detail with the warm white mini iPro projectors.
