About Project

Through a project developed by municipal architects and engineers, since the end of 2020, the city of Vilnius has given its citizens an area of almost nine hectares on the banks of the Neris River, entirely dedicated to sports activities, outdoor life and relaxation.
Residents of Vilnius and tourists can enjoy nine beach volleyball courts, three basketball courts, children's playgrounds, table tennis tables, outdoor gymnastics areas, training fields and a skate park.
The basketball courts have a FIBA certificate in accordance with European standards, and the beach volleyball courts are intended for international competitions.

This space is perfectly usable in the evening. Korgas was responsible for the artificial lighting, which uses several iGuzzini lighting fixtures to meet the need to light spaces with different characteristics.

The walkways, playing fields and skate park are lit from above with homogeneous diffused light from UFO devices on 6-metre poles. Stairs and seats in the skate park are highlighted by Underscore InOut, helping to create a lively, animated atmosphere. The walkways are flanked by iWay square bollards, which provide a very soft light in some areas such as those used for exercise equipment or around the table tennis tables.

The lighting fixtures were also chosen for their strength and durability, combining contemporary urban design with excellent light quality in the White Bridge Square project.
