Light is Back. Lighting revives Tintoretto’s art

iGuzzini enhances the great artist’s masterpieces in the Sala Capitolare of the Scuola Grande

As part of the initiatives taken by the Scuola Grande di San Rocco to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Jacopo Tintoretto’s birth, on Friday, 30 November, in Venice, the new lighting system for the Sala Capitolare of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco will be inaugurated in the presence of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Alberto Bonisoli and of other local dignitaries.

After Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, Giotto’s frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua and Michelangelo’s Pietà in St. Peter’s Basilica, it is now Tintoretto’s art that will retrieve its splendour through iGuzzini’s illumination. The lighting system, promoted by the Confraternity of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, was designed by the architect and lighting designer Alberto Pasetti, to enhance visitor’s experience through differentiated levels of interpretation.

Light is Back in the Sala Capitolare of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco.
