The international jury awards the project an Honourable Mention
After being selected for the 2019 ADI Design Index,
“Social Lightscapes Workshops: Social research in design for lighting professionals”
receives a
Honourable Mention from the ADI.
The three-year research project that has brought together iGuzzini, the London School of Economics and the Social Light Movement was set up to provide instructions on how to design lighting systems that focus on the needs of people and communities. The prestigious award was presented at the prize ceremony of the
XXVIth edition of the ADI Compasso d’Oro Awards
, held on the 9th September at the new ADI Design Museum in Milan.
Along with the 18 Compasso d’Oro and other 37 Highly Commended award winners from this edition, the project will become part of the
ADI Compasso d’Oro Collection
, that has been declared by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities to be of “exceptional artistic and historic interest". The products and projects will also be included in the
“XXVIth ADI Compasso d’Oro Awards – Putting down roots”
exhibition on display at the ADI Design Museum until 16th September.
