The Quadreria of the Doge's Palace in Venice reopens on 25 March, after a refurbishment led by the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, with the collaboration and support of the Venice International Foundation.
The Quadreria's spaces are illuminated by iGuzzini luminaires, which enhance the ancient rooms, the Sala della Quarantia Criminale, the Sala dei Cuoi, the Sala del Magistrato alle Leggi, and the collection ranging from Flemish masters to Tiepolo, Bellini, Tiziano and Carpaccio. The current layout draws on a tradition from the first decades of the 17th century, when “easel” works from important private collections were exhibited alongside institutional works.
