Yesterday, in a special ceremony at Palazzo Madama, iGuzzini illuminazione was awarded the 2018 “Premio dei Premi” national prize for innovation. iGuzzini and the lighting design firm, artec3 Studio, were awarded the prize for their design and production of Palco Low Voltage,
“a highly innovative lighting sector product that has sold in large numbers and consequently led to significant employment and industrial development.”
The 2018 “Premio dei Premi” (Award of Awards) national prize for innovation was assigned to iGuzzini by representatives from Italy’s major industrial and entrepreneurial groups and associations and presented to Adolfo Guzzini, President of iGuzzini illuminazione, and Maurici Ginés, founder and lighting designer of artec3 Studio by Maria Elisabetta Alberta Casellati, President of the Italian Senate.
“We are extremely proud to have received an award designed to celebrate innovation, one of iGuzzini’s founding values,” commented Adolfo Guzzini, President of iGuzzini illuminazione. “It further encourages the company to keep investing in research and technology to improve people’s quality of life through lighting, a precious tool for social innovation,” he concluded.

, this prestigious prize is awarded annually to the “champions” who in industrial and service companies, banks, public authorities, design studios or academic start-ups, have created “excellent” product and process innovations. The COTEC Foundation was established in 2001 under the Honorary Presidency of the Head of State to improve Italy’s technological competitiveness and since 2008 it has organised the Premio dei Premi with the kind permission of the President of the Republic.
