Solvi Ibershimi Injection Moulding Team Manager Solvi Ibershimi’s story is one of determination and a desire to face new challenges. These are the elements that contributed to his professional growth at the company. Solvi graduated at the ITIS in Recanati and, immediately afterwards, decided to enrol for the Technology for Innovation degree course at the University of Physics in Camerino. His story at iGuzzini began in November 2013, when he seized an opportunity to join the company and did not hesitate to accept the role of assembler in the special products department. This gave him a first-hand experience of the construction of luminaires. In October 2014, after a short break, he returned to the company’s assembly department. But after just a month, a vacancy in the costing department gave him the opportunity to exploit his analytical skills and face a new challenge. This new position allowed him to combine the knowhow he had acquired regarding production construction with his talent for numbers. From there he continued to develop and consolidate his skills until he was promoted to the position of Cost Analyst Specialist. Since August 2021, he has been in charge of the Injection Moulding Department. Solvi is now an important reference point in the company for all the company divisions he interacts with.
Fabio Capodaglio Photometric Laboratory & Structural Analysis Expert Fabio arrived from the University of Camerino, where, in 2016, he completed his university career with a Master’s degree in experimental physics. Thanks to the close relationship between the company and the university, Fabio was invited to complete a six-month internship at the iGuzzini mould design department, where he worked side by side with the production manager. This experience also contributed to the university thesis he wrote, entitled, 'An analysis of the influence of technological parameters on the photometric performance of aluminium reflectors.' This study both enhanced the company’s knowhow with experimental skills from the world of academia as well as offering Fabio the opportunity to apply the experiments he had conducted in university laboratories to the practical world of lighting production. Fabio’s skills did not go unnoticed and shortly after his internship he was offered a position in the photometric department of the company’s Innovation Lab. There, he began supervising the implementation of new photometric and colorimetric product measurement technologies as well as working on all the various activities required to obtain and maintain accreditation for our photometric laboratory from the major international certification associations (UL and IMQ).
