iGuzzini at PLDC 2017

6th Edition of PLDC

“Shift happens!”- New scenarios for the lighting world

PLDC, the Professional Lighting Design Convention, is a biennial event for the global lighting design market, and will be taking place between the 1st and the 4th November in the Palais des Congrès de Paris. Based on the proven success of the PLDC concept, the convention will be articulated similarly to the last editions: a three-day professional conference offering around 70 professional papers given by high-profile speakers from the world of lighting design, architecture, research and city planning.

iGuzzini, as Social Media Partner of the event, is holding a series of #iGtalk - Twitter interviews that involve the conference speakers in an engaging debate aimed at giving a preview of the speech they are going to present during the conference. The programme will be updated as the interviews take place with links to the interviews:

To conclude the Convention, the Professional Lighting Design Recognition Awards will be awarded for outstanding achievements in Architectural Lighting Design during the Gala Dinner. iGuzzini has been shortlisted in the “Best Partner in the Industry”  category, in recognition for the collaboration between the company and Elettra Bordonaro for the “Configuring Light- Staging the Social” project. This project has been shortlisted in the “Award For Research” category.

The motto of the 6th PLDC, which is expecting to attract more than 1700 attendees from all over the world, will be “Shift happens!” – pointing to the changes on the lighting design landscape and the impact of digital technologies on this transforming conditions.
