About Project

With three different stores in Oslo, Fredrikstad and Fornebu, Ferner Jacobsen is a family-run company that since its foundation in 1916 has offered its sophisticated and curious customers a distinctive selection of the latest clothing styles.

Since 1926, the flagship store has been located in a historic building in Stortingsgaten, in the heart of Oslo, and still dresses most of the inhabitants of the city with a combination of classic and contemporary garments for both men and women.

Recently, a special lighting system has been created for the façade of this historic building to accentuate in a non-invasive and extremely precise way its friezes and architectural features.

Trick 180° luminaires emphasize the details of the window cornices, whereas the friezes at the base of the windows and the gable decorations are lit with a grazing effect created by Underscore InOut luminaires. So, just a few luminaires create a soft final effect that is extremely elegant and suits the flagship store of this historic company perfectly.
