Symmetrical-optic louvre for optical assembly placed upwards - developed and patented by iGuzzini. It is made of superpure aluminium and is made up of a ring that supports the blades by means of aluminium rods. Besides screening the light source, the blades act as reflecting elements. The reflecting elements are made up of several units placed side by side - each unit having a lower reflecting surface and an upper absorbing surface. The units are placed side by side so that all the light emitted by the lamp directly upwards meets reflecting or absorbing sections.

Two openings are present on the base of the ring in diametrically opposed positions for bayonet connection on the component cover of the optical assembly.;

The light flow emitted by the fitting on the upper half is smaller than 3% of total flow. The product meets UNI10819 requirements (zone II). The louvre is to be used with opaline diffusing lamps.
