Floodlight for use with metal halide lamps, flood optic. Consists of an optical assembly, base and external component holding box. The optical assembly, arm, base and frame are made of aluminium alloy EN1706AC 46100LF, with dual phosphochromating of the base metal and passivation at 120 °C. Coated with liquid acrylic paint, cured at 150°C, with a high level of weather and UV ray resistance. The 4 mm thick tempered sodium-calcium closing glass is colourless, transparent and secured with captive screws. The 50/60 Shore A silicone seal has been subject to post-cooling treatment, in an oven, for 4-6 hours at 200 °C. The optical assembly allows vertical and horizontal adjustments, with the possibility of locking the adjustment for aiming, and it has slots in the frame for rainwater drainage. It is connected to the component holding box by a cable reinforced with silicone with steel protective braid. The optic has an annealed 99.96% super-pure aluminium plate reflector, rough milled – polished and electrochemically anodised, 2/4 microns. The cable gland for connecting the wiring assembly to the lamp assembly is made of nickel-plated brass M14x1. PGJ5 lamp holder complete with cables. Galvanised steel lamp holder support. The base houses a PG11 cable gland with L=1500mm black power cable, connected to an external component holding box with IP67 rating made of high performance black PPS thermoplastic material. The components box also houses the electronic ballast and is set up for pass-through wiring with a double M24x1.5 stainless steel cable gland, suitable for cables with 7-16mm diameter. All external screws used are made of A2 stainless steel.
