The Citygrid Dongle is a portable battery-driven device that, combined with the Citygrid app, allows an installation to be configured with luminaires fitted with a Citygrid Controller.
The Dongle acts as an "interpreter" between the 868 MHz 6LoWPAN wireless communication system used by Citygrid Controllers and the Bluetooth 2.4 GHz used by the Android device on which the Citygrid app is installed.
With the Dongle, initial commissioning operations can be performed on the systems connected to the cloud/Dashboard, so the luminaires are positioned correctly on the map.
It also allows the controllers on-site to be read and changed directly from the Android device.

The Citygrid Dongle does not require installation. When connected to the app for the first time, the FOTA update proposed must be performed. We recommend doing this before actually going to the installation.;

- Can be used exclusively with Android devices (OS 7.0 or above)
- Maximum recommended distance between the Dongle and a Citygrid Controller: 60 m (in a straight line with no obstacles).
- Requires a power supply unit with a 5V >300mA current USB-A socket. Can also be charged using a normal computer USB port.
- Internal recharging current limiter.
- Operates at temperatures from -25°C to +50°C, and up to 2000 m a.s.l.
