The Citygrid Gateway is a wireless device that connects a lighting system equipped with a Citygrid Controller to the cloud and Citygrid Dashboard.
With installations of one or more Gateways, remote functions can be used to the full, such as light profile management, luminaire map display, individual luminaire system analytics information, system state and reports with email alerts in case of malfunctioning.
A Citygrid installation can consist of any combination of Citygrid Controllers, including the Citygrid Zhaga controller, the Citygrid Zhaga controller with sensor, the Citygrid On Pole controller, and any "Citygrid enabled" or Gateway device.
Third party systems can also be integrated thanks to the APIs available (e.g. GIS system and software interfaces for Smart City).
Features:
- Maximum number of Citygrid controllers per gateway: 128.
- Maximum number of Gateways for each system: 500.
- GSM SIM integrated with European cellular phone roaming cover.
- 2G/3G band available.
- Communication through IEEE 802.15.4 standard 6LoWPAN wireless protocol.
- AES-128 encrypted wireless network.
- Assembly Kit to be ordered separately, available for pole (X783) and electrical cabinet (X784, X785) installation.
- 230 V 1A voltage output from internal relay for local commands, controllable from Dashboard. Requires an accessory assembly kit with a 4-pole cable (X785).
- Rear 4-pole IP socket for connecting a 1.5 m or 8.0 m long cable according to the (accessory) assembly kit chosen.
- FOTA (firmware over-the-air) update.
- High surge protection 6kV-6kV.
Each system Gateway is enabled, as chosen by the customer, with a renewable subscription for 1 year (code PD24) or 10 years (code PD25). For subscription durations of other than 1 or 10 years, contact iGuzzini.

Installation
Description
The Citygrid Gateway can be installed:
- On a luminaire pole, using the X783 accessory kit. For this kind of installation a hole must be drilled in the luminaire pole to allow the cable and connector head that exit the rear of the accessory to pass through.
- Fixed to an electrical cabinet using 2 self-tapping screws (not included) and the accessory X784 or X785.;

Wiring
The cable with the connection connector are not included in the Gateway code but in one of the accessory assembly codes (X783, X784 or X785).
Consult the accessory instructions code.

Notes
The integrated GSM SIM provides European coverage and cannot be replaced.
Operates at temperatures from -25°C to +50°C, and up to 2000 m a.s.l.
Consult the pole/electrical cabinet manufacturer for more information about drilling and an eventual successive protection.
