Wooden poles
Urban forest

Rethinking cities to regenerate the urban fabric from a sustainable perspective. An approach that is revolutionizing the development, reconversion and growth plans of cities large and small. It was with this vision in mind that we chose wood for our new street lighting poles.

Poles as trees to create more natural imagery, a living, urban landscape in harmony and respect with Nature.

Of all natural materials, a new type of architecture is being built around wood. This style of architecture learns from the lessons of the past and focuses on innovation to create greener cities capable of achieving carbon neutrality.

Not only aesthetic harmony but also a sustainable choice.

Three types of design can be associated with three combinations of wood finishes by choosing the match between form and material as an aspect of outdoor biophilic design.

3 x 3:
three wood finishes can be combined with three shades of steel to create the best match between these materials, thereby interpreting the union of Nature and Artifice for the pole and the natural or urban context where it is installed.

Street furniture The lighting pole also becomes an aspect of street furniture. The three wood finishes mean you can choose the colour that best matches the installation context – natural, artificial, antique or contemporary.

Installation flexibility.

The pole can accommodate single or double pole-head and side-mounted floodlights.

Modular systems
Several systems can be installed in the wooden poles to promote the best formal integration into the urban context and ideal optical distribution for the visual task.

Wood is an environmentally aware choice.

Wood absorbs carbon dioxide over its lifetime. It remains stored in products made with this material, thereby acting as a long-term carbon sink.

Certified Material

High-strength glulam (glue-laminated wood) ensures a long service life and good tensile properties for our wooden poles, which are manufactured using PEFC-certified Finnish pine in controlled industrial processes. This results in products with excellent strength and stiffness properties.

Strength and durability
Protection against
atmospheric agents

Our wooden poles are coated with several protective layers, each having a specific function. Water-soluble and environment-friendly protection agents improve resistance to rain, sunlight and air pollution.
Strength testing
Calculation models are used to ensure that all our wooden poles meet the necessary requirements. The pole is subjected to stresses increased up to breaking point using the intervals specified in the EN 40-3-2 standard.
Maintenance
Regular inspections ensure that strength and durability characteristics are retained over time. Mould can easily be removed by brushing the surface with a mild detergent. If the clear varnish begins to peel off, gently sand down the excess varnish from the surface and apply a new protective coat.
Circularity
Wood products are easy to recycle at the end of their lifespan. We use environment-friendly surface treatment agents so that our wooden poles can also be burnt safely to generate energy.
