The Institute for Restoration and Conservation, has been responsible for the Scrovegni chapel and its precious frescoes since the 1950s. Any action taken has always been based on scientific research that have defined the treatment of both the environment and the restoration of the paintings. For the lighting system, once again we have worked closely together with iGuzzini to select the technological solutions best suited to the conservation and enjoyment of the fourteenth century frescoes.
