Programmable Casambi HF motion sensor complete module. The sensor detects movement via a high-frequency (HF) antenna and is designed for horizontal mounting above the false ceiling, ensuring a concealed solution. The device must be placed near a recessed lighting fixture, using its insertion hole for passage and positioning.
It can also be installed near ceiling inspection hatches if the lighting fixture hole does not allow it to pass through. Installation is permitted exclusively for detection from the ceiling downwards. Detection occurs only through materials permeable to radio frequencies, typically used for the construction of false ceilings, such as plasterboard, wood, glass, plastic, and fabric. The sensor is not suitable for false ceilings made of shielding materials, such as solid or perforated sheet metal, metal grilles, aluminium-coated panels, or concrete. It is also not suitable for environments where moving elements or elements subject to vibrations are present even in the absence of people, such as ceiling fan blades, oscillating air conditioning deflectors, or vibration-prone ventilation pipes. It can be programmed, enabled and associated via the Casambi app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
The sensor is programmed at the factory with a profile in DALI Broadcast mode. All connected DALI devices, up to a maximum of 10 devices or drivers, will execute the same command. Via the Casambi app it is possible to modify the profile by selecting one of those indicated in the instruction sheet. The module is equipped with an integrated twilight sensor. This sensor cannot be used and must therefore be left deactivated within the Casambi app.
- Mains power supply 220-240 V | 50/60 Hz
- Power consumption: max <1.2 W, typ 0.7 W
- Maximum current on DALI output: max 20 mA
- DALI Broadcast profile: max 10 devices or drivers (default)
- DALI Address profile: from 1 to max 4 DT6 addresses
- Tunable White profile: from 1 to max 3 DT8 addresses
- HF antenna operating frequency: 5.8 GHz, power < 0.2 mW.
- Motion sensitivity adjustable via Casambi app on 4 levels: 100% - 50% - 30% - 10%
- Frequency and protocol: 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Low Energy.
- Integrates into Evolution networks (up to 250 nodes) or Long Range (recommended max 60 nodes)
- Max transmission power: +20 dBm
- OTA (over the air) update via app.
- Integrated beacon that can be activated via app (iBeacon) which enables smart functions for third-party applications and iGuzzini Jiminy Push Notification apps.
Partition walls made of radio frequency permeable materials, such as plasterboard, wood or similar materials, do not necessarily delimit the sensor's detection area. In such applications, the installer must adjust the sensitivity during commissioning and verify that detection occurs exclusively in the intended room.
Under special installation conditions, a preliminary on-site check using a representative mock-up is recommended.

Description
Recessed, passage through a hole with a diameter ≥ Ø 59 mm with false ceiling height min 130 mm.
On a hole with a diameter ≥ Ø 75 mm with false ceiling height min 100 mm.
The housing facilitates correct positioning of the sensor thanks to the presence of a rounded surface and a flat surface. The latter must rest on the upper part of the false ceiling. Indicative coverage diameter at a positioning height of 3 m: Ø ~ 6 m (100% sensitivity)
For correct positioning and permitted mounting heights, please refer to the instruction sheet.;
Wiring
Wiring to the electrical mains (L-N).
Wiring to the DALI line (DA-DA).
The sensor module is equipped with L=140 mm outgoing cables and male-female quick connectors for easy installation.
Communicates in a mesh with Casambi system components and devices via Bluetooth.
Notes
The maximum distance between sensors, as well as that between sensors and other Casambi devices, may vary depending on the presence of physical obstacles, such as beams and metal panels, and the system configuration. It is therefore recommended to always check the distances defined during the design phase on-site, in order to ensure the correct operation of the mesh network.
